TAP ACADEMY 2010

A series of training systems designed to alow young players to fall in love with the soccer ball. A total BallMasters concept, Master of the games' skills. This regimental but fun filled experience, deals with the technical skill development of the player and concentration on the fundamental technniques behind the use of the soccer ball. The aim is to produce quality skilled players as part of the learning experiene in soccer, while in the TAP Academy Program.

TAP Milan U-11s Takes Top Honors at N.J. Tournament:

 


Alexandria, Fairfax County TAP FC Milan youth soccer scored a big win over the July 23rd weekend in Fort Dix, N.J., where they won the Central Jersey Invitational Tournament. With the win the team earned a spot in the national finals of teh Volkswagen Junior Masters International tournament this October in Washington, D.C. Further success there will land them an all-expenses paid trip to the Junior World Masters finals against 19 other team in Cape Town, South Africa next May, just before the country hosts the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The team of Fairfax County area youths were led by, from left, coach Brian Robertson (know as Coach Roby), Kyle Petitt, Nicolas Ducceschi, Patrick Jean-Gilles, Alie Kamara, Jeffrey Pineda, Nicholas Quashie, Erin Escobar, Brandon Williamson, Nathan Vigil, Connor Bradley, AJ Rogers, Jason Hokenson, Kevin Coleman, Julian Ngoh, Charles Taylor, Oliver Shackley. Who gets Gremio's Douglas Costa?

 

GRÊMIO FOOT-BALL CLUB PORTO ALEGRENSE: Home of Ronaldino and other great players to venture out of Brazil. It' no mystery that another player may emerge. Well!  The asking price for the 18 year old player is 24 million euro buy-out.  With both Manchester United and Byern Munich in the race, does the young wonder player end up at Old Trafford or in Germany. Douglas Costa was impressive during the South American Youth Championships and big clubs tood notice.  Check the English website Sport.co.uk for more on the Costa future.

 

 

TAP'S New Direction
JUNE 2009: Teams to merge into "TAFC" Team America Football Club as part of the new Team America Athlethic Institute philosophy of youth soccer player development. TAP Teams previously registered under the Gunston Soccer Club for NCSL & WAGS Local League play and VYSA State Cup in the State of Virginia. TAP's president acknowledges the move as bringing synergy to both groups and further promoting the Team Ameria philosophy and vision in player develoment for the community. TAP teams will now register under TAFC for Fall 2009/2010 NCSL League play. TAFC Club information can be found at http://www.teamamericafc.com.The original TAP Program will continue as an Academy Player Development System provide advanced soccer training and development to area youth players. Partnerships with International Professional Club systems will be a major focus of the group.

With day two finishing up, US Club Soccer has already crowned their first Pittsgrove, N.J. Regional champion for the U-11 Super Group.  With back-to-back goals in the second half, TAP FC Milan secured their victory and became regional champions. The talent displayed in the first championship game this weekend has the US Club Soccer staff anxiously waiting to see what the next two days has in store for us. The team will next compete in the Cenral Jersey Invitational July 18, 19.

Kirkwood College Showcase 2009
New Castle, Deleware was the scene Aug 2nd hosting the Fall 2009 kirkwood College Showcase for U-16, U-17, U-18/U-19 teams. A large draw or College coaches still screening players for potential invites to their Fall 2010 program. TAP Santos Boys U-19 team completed 1st day at Kirkwood College showcase with 1 win 1 loss record on Saturday. The Final day games cancelled due to heavy rains and tornado warnings. The boys now prepare for Fall League play and OBGC Tournament in September 2009.

Mid Atlantic Cup Finalist:


Lancaster Pennsylvania was the site of the 2009 Mid Atlantic Cup hosted by The Pennsyhlvania Classics Socer Club. TAP Barcelona Boys U14 competed against a field of top ranked teams in Region I. After two days of competitive play, TAP Barca fell to Pennsylvania Classics Elite 94 in the Finals. Yet another strong showing for the rebuilding TAP Barca team which attended the even missing several key players. TAP Barca next competion will be the Spirit United Kick-Off event in Dowington PA, August 15th.
